Description :
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage the daily activities of a team of District Sales Managers to achieve monthly and annual sales volume objectives for retail and wholesale.
2. Mentor team through proactive monitoring, coaching, counseling, and appropriate performance discussions. Promote an environment of sharing best practices, providing opportunities for growth and development.
3. Respond to escalated dealer issues as they arise, recommending solutions that preserve the dealer relationship, while staying within Company policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Understand when there is a need to escalate issues to the next level, and involve appropriate parties.
4. Perform solo and/or joint dealer visits with district sales manager and/or district team to increase the frequency and quality of communication and interaction with the dealer body to improve dealer performance.
5. Provide accurate and detailed information related to the districts in the assigned area/territory to Zone and Corporate management.
6. Attain wholesale and retail KPI along with other area KPI’s as assigned by the zone or corporate office.
7. Perform other duties as assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS
· 8 - 10 years progressive, exempt-level wholesale/retail automotive experience including 2 years’ experience as a District Sales Manager
· BS/BA in Business/Marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to meet strict deadlines while delivering quality results
· Ability to effectively prioritize multiple priorities
· Organized with an attention to detail
· Ability to influence others and overcome objections
· Ability to effectively supervise/lead a team
· Extensive travel is often required.
· Must maintain a valid unconditional driver’s license and a MMNA approved driving record.
